“Ser una obra narrativamente clara y creativa con gran manejo de la ambientación visual, una estética coherente y con elementos correctamente utilizados que no saturan a las personas espectadoras. Lxs cyborgs contemplando la memoria viva de la sexualidad humana en cuerpos deseantes que son vestigios de lo que fuimos y, quizá, aún somos. Su narrativa sólida y el diseño sonoro impecable, logra reflexionar sobre la fragilidad y persistencia deseante en un mundo donde lo humano parece desvanecerse, pero el deseo sobrevive.”

“A narratively clear and creative work with great visual flair, a coherent aesthetic, and well-used elements that don't overwhelm viewers. Cyborgs contemplate the living memory of human sexuality in desiring bodies that are vestiges of what we once were and, perhaps, still are. “Desperately Pop” by Alessandro Amaducci is our Music Video of the Week.
From the first frame, you're pulled into a hypnotic world that serves not only as a music video, but a provocation - a mirror to our post-human fantasies and fears, set to an irresistible beat.

“In a laboratory, an artificial intelligence is created that takes the form of synthetic beauty. It is exhibited as a work of art in various museums: replacing classical models of the human form, it conquers the tops of skyscrapers and the ceilings of churches. The new idols. The game of massacre of the reality begins: places become increasingly uninhabited, statues crumble, skyscrapers collapse, the world disintegrates. And the dance continues, unstoppable. The only possible audience is a group of robots. The artificial is reflected in the artificial.
Dancing with artificial death?
The beginning of a new era or the end of the world as we know it?
An ephemeral amusement park.
A musical in the rubble.
A glamorous apocalypse.
Desperately pop.”

Amaducci, a veteran of video experimentation and digital aesthetics, brings his deep experience to this work with precision and flair. His resume is as bold and multifaceted as his visuals - and “Desperately Pop” is a striking addition to his ongoing exploration of art in the age of machines.
